Haier's current residential line-up in Malaysia is entirely R32 inverter (Flexis, Flexis Plus, Nebula and Flexis Ultra). The last non-inverter Haier wall-mounted units were sold around 2016 and used R410A. Haier inverter units have a 2-year compressor warranty (longer than most brands) and our technicians are trained to preserve this warranty by using only OEM-spec capacitors (Rubycon-brand for Haier boards) and following Haier's specified torque values on every service port connection.
Front-louvre dripping on a Haier Flexis is almost always a misaligned drain pan after the indoor PCB has been removed for a previous service — the pan sits in 4 plastic clips that are easy to seat incorrectly. Our technician reseats the pan, clears the drain pipe and tests for 10 minutes before leaving. If your unit has had a previous service elsewhere, this is the most likely cause.
E9 on Haier Nebula units indicates an indoor-outdoor communication error. The most common cause is a damaged or wet communication wire (the 4-core shielded cable between the units), often from a previous contractor who nicked the insulation. We continuity-test each core and replace the section of cable if needed — this fixes 90% of E9 cases without touching the PCB.
A repeated clicking sound with the outdoor unit never starting on Haier units usually means a failed outdoor run capacitor, not a compressor problem. The compressor is trying to start but the capacitor cannot provide the phase shift needed. Replacing the run capacitor (RM 70–120 part) typically restores normal operation in under 30 minutes.
