Why does my Haier aircond smell musty even after servicing?
A persistent musty smell on Haier units (especially the Flexis series with their wider evaporator fins) usually means mould has grown deep inside the blower wheel housing, beyond where a basic chemical wash reaches. A full chemical overhaul (from RM 220) that includes complete blower wheel removal and housing cleaning is the correct fix. Skipping the blower wheel means the smell returns within 4–6 weeks.
Is Haier a quiet aircond brand for bedrooms?
Yes — the Haier Flexis Plus and Nebula series are designed for low-noise operation, with indoor unit noise levels around 21–24 dB on the lowest fan setting. For a really quiet bedroom setup, we recommend pairing a Haier Flexis inverter with proper wall insulation and a chemical wash every 6 months to keep the fan blades clean (dust buildup creates additional noise).
