Direct answers
The most common reason is a failed start capacitor, not a dead compressor. The outdoor unit hums, the fan may twitch, and nothing spins. A burnt contactor or a hot overload can look the same from the living room. KL Renovator tests the cheap parts first so you are not sold a RM 800 – 2,000 job you do not need.
