On Carrier wall-mounted units, the most common cause of water dripping is a blocked or algae-filled drain pan, not a refrigerant issue. A chemical wash that includes drain pan and pipe flushing usually fixes this in 1 visit. If the leak returns within 2 weeks, the drain pipe slope may be incorrect — our technician will check and re-grade on the spot.
Can you replace a Carrier compressor with a non-original compressor?
We do not recommend installing non-original compressors in Carrier units. Carrier compressors are matched to specific PCB board calibration and refrigerant oil viscosity. KL Renovator only installs OEM-spec or Carrier-approved replacement compressors, and every compressor replacement includes a 1-month workmanship warranty.
