Installation of National
Professional National Aircond Installation
National units such as National CS/CU Series, National Eolia Series and National Window Units are popular across KL and Selangor for their reliability. KL Renovator's installers fit wall-mounted, ceiling cassette and window National units, matching the correct HP to your room size and completing every job to manufacturer warranty standards.
We install National units that use R22 refrigerant. Our technicians vacuum-test every new National installation to protect the compressor and keep the manufacturer's warranty valid. We never mix refrigerant types and confirm the correct gas charge during commissioning.
Installation Types for National
The most common choice for National homes and condos. We mount the indoor unit on a reinforced bracket, run copper pipe and wiring to the outdoor compressor, and finish with vacuum pump commissioning. Ideal for bedrooms and living rooms.
Popular for offices, retail shops, and large open-plan homes using National systems. We fit the ceiling suspension kit, drain pump, and piping, then align the cassette for even four-way airflow.
A practical, budget-friendly option for older apartments and rental rooms. We secure the National unit in the window frame, seal the opening, and wire it to a dedicated circuit.
National Installation Pricing
Prices are for standard installation including 7 ft copper pipe, insulation, electrical wire and drain pipe. Extras quoted first.

While National branded parts are discontinued, many universal components (capacitors, fan motors, sensors) and Panasonic compatible parts work perfectly. KL Renovator assesses your unit first.
National is the original brand name of what became Panasonic. The company was renamed to Panasonic globally in 2008, but the National brand name is still used in some Asian markets and on older units in Malaysia. Many National units from 1990–2008 are mechanically and electrically identical to equivalent Panasonic models of the same era. This means that Panasonic-compatible parts (capacitors, fan motors, sensors, even some PCBs) work in National units, which is fortunate because National-branded parts are now discontinued.
For National units over 15 years old, the decision between repair and replace depends on the specific fault: (1) Capacitor, contactor, drain pipe, drain pan, or sensor faults — definitely worth repairing (RM 50–300 total). (2) Fan motor bearing or full motor failure — worth repairing (RM 200–450 total). (3) Compressor failure — depends on the unit's size: 1HP/1.5HP units can be replaced for RM 700–1,000 which is borderline; 2HP+ units are usually better to replace. (4) PCB failure — depends on availability of Panasonic-compatible PCB; we assess this on a case-by-case basis. We will always give you both options and let you decide.
All National wall split units sold in Malaysia before 2010 use R22 refrigerant. R22 has been phased out globally due to ozone-depletion concerns and is increasingly expensive (currently RM 2.50 per PSI). For older National units, we can still top up R22 but we always discuss the long-term cost — if your National unit needs R22 top-up more than once every 2 years, the underlying leak should be located and repaired, or the unit replaced. We carry R22 in our service van for older unit servicing.
