MEPS is Malaysia's Minimum Energy Performance Standards scheme, administered by the Energy Commission. Air conditioners sold here carry a star label — more stars means less electricity for the same cooling. The label is a comparison tool between models of the same capacity; it says nothing about how your unit performs once the coil is dirty or the room is oversized.

MCB and isolator — what are they protecting?
The isolator is the local switch that cuts power to one aircond so a technician can work on it safely; the MCB is the circuit breaker in the distribution board that protects that circuit against overload and short circuit.
